Straight out of New York. Via Boston. And LA. And Jerusalem… Alex Edelman draws upon astute social observations alongside his student experiences at NYU in the creation of his beguiling comic tales. Fresh, original, and endearing, with each performance, Edelman continues to prove himself to be one of New York’s most promising upcoming comedians, and has been described as the next Seinfeld!?.

Edelman’s comedy career has taken him all over the world. Besides his stint here in the UK – where, in just a few short months, he has quickly made a name for himself, appearing at Machynlleth Comedy Fest, The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Bestival and here at End of the Road – Edelman has performed in Spain, France, and Israel, where he was one of the founding comedians of the Comedy Basement in Jerusalem, the country’s first English-language comedy club.

Edelman hails from Boston, where he began comedy eight years ago at the age of 15, and found frequent stage time at the area’s biggest club, the Comedy Connection, before moving to New York. In NY, he picked up where he left off, becoming a regular at many of the city’s clubs while simultaneously attending NYU, a school he just graduated from with an honors degree in English. He comes to our festival fresh from Edinburgh, where he starred in a play—Sarah Bennetto’s, “The Temps,” at The Pleasance.
