Comedian profile Athena Kugblenu

Athena Kugblenu is a stand up, writer and podcaster. She took two shows to
Edinburgh before getting herself “in the family way”. She's still very much a stand up
but now also spends time writing comedy for radio and TV, because that involves
leaving the house less regularly. She will still leave the house for some things and
you might have seen her on Mock the Week, Pointless, Comedy Central Live, House
of Games and other telly shows. A regular on The News Quiz and other Radio 4
comedies, Athena has also written and performed her own comedy show for Radio
4: Cancel Culture, and taped her own stand up special: Magnifying Class, both on
BBC Sounds.  She podcasts A LOT and hosts keeping Keeping Athena Company,
Why Does My Child Hate Me?, Procrastinate and she co-hosts the award
winning Bust or Trust: A Kid's Mystery Podcast. She's written two books for children;
History's Most Epic Fibs and History's Most Epic Fails.
