Biography
Athena is one of those rare souls that can make you gasp, laugh out loud, and think about something on a deeper level all at the same time. Making the bold leap to leave her career as a project manager to try her hand at stand-up, Athena now makes regular appearances on the UK circuit and at comedy festivals.

BBC New Comedian of the Year – Finalist.
While a member of the BBC Comedy Room, Athena was awarded the BBC Felix Dexter Bursary for “BAME” up-and-coming comedy writers in 2020. She’s a nominee for the 99 Club Female Comedians’ Bursary and a former BBC New Comedy Award Finalist.
She currently writes for Horrible Histories, the Russell Howard Hour, The Lenny Henry Show, Dead Ringers, News Quiz, Newsjack, The Now Show and is a lead writer for multicultural Radio 4 sketch-show Sketchtopia. She also contributes to Children’s BBC shows JoJo and Gran Gran, The Amelia Gething Complex, Crackerjack and Swashbuckle and is currently developing her own scripted projects.
