Biography
Jessie is a talented actress, writer and illustrator who is best known for playing ‘Lavender Brown’ in the Harry Potter films. She played a lead in Buffering for Avalon/ITV2 and starred as regular ‘Heather’ in Sky One’s Trollied. Her drama credits also include Am I Being Unreasonable (BBC), Industry (HBO/BBC) Black Mirror (Netflix), The Baby (HBO), Miss Scarlet and the Duke (Alibi), Call the Midwife (BBC 1) and Glue (E4).
Jessie is also a brilliant comedian who was nominated for the Times Breakthrough Award at The South Bank Sky Arts Awards. Her show Sunrise received rave reviews, had several runs at the Soho Theatre and toured nationally in 2019. In 2024 she performed Jessie Cave: An Ecstatic Display at Edinburgh Fringe in which the Metro described her as “a master of making light out of dark, and twisting a hurricane life into what genuinely is an Ecstatic Display” ★★★★
Jessie hosts the podcast “before we break up again” with her partner Alfie Brown. Previous podcasts include ‘Whenever It Kicks with Jessie Cave’ and she co-hosted ‘We Can’t Talk About That Right Now with Bebe and Jessie Cave’ with her sister.
Jessie has also featured on Richard Osman’s House of Games, Celebrity Landscape Artist of the Year, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Jon Richardson’s Ultimate Worrier, Pointless Celebrities & Roast Battle. She has also had a book of illustrations published, titled Lovesick.
