Biography
Jon Levene started comedy in Melbourne doing his first gig at twenty, at that time the youngest comic in Melbourne. Jon quickly became a regular on the circuit and it wasn’t long before he was picked by the comedy channel to perform on their ‘In The Shed’ comedy shorts. As his profile continued to grow Jon wrote and performed in 5 successful Melbourne International Comedy Festival Shows as well as being published in Beat Magazines ‘Comics In The Dog House’. Jon was a special reporter for NOVA Radio as well as a regular guest on RRR radios ‘Best Of The Brat’. Jon took time away from stand-up to study media and work on writing and shooting ‘The Intermissionary Position’ a 6 part sketch show aired on Australia’s Channel 31 in conjunction with a live show at the Espy Hotel. Following the completion of his degree, Jon bought a one-way ticket to London via South East Asia where he spent all his money. Three weeks later he got the part in a pilot shooting for the BBC, while the pilot was not picked up Jon was spotted by the founder of ‘Hint Of Lime Productions’ and taken to Edinburgh for his debut at the International Festival. Now based permanently in London, Jon is writing and shooting original comedy and performing stand-up.
