Biography
Lou Taylor is a West Midlands-born, London-based stand-up comedian, actress, and writer, and one of the most exciting new names on the UK comedy scene. With over 25 million views on her viral online sketches (@loutaylortrash), she’s quickly built a loyal following and is a regular at top comedy clubs across the country.
In 2023, Lou reached the semi-finals of the Funny Women Awards and was shortlisted for the BBC New Comedy Awards. Her debut hour, Jeans and a Nice Top, premiered at The Pleasance during the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe, earning widespread critical acclaim and sold-out audiences. The show was later picked up for a run at Soho Theatre as part of the Soho Rising Festival in 2025. That same year, The Guardian described her as a millennial voice “reviving Cool Britannia.”
She has featured on Brett Goldstein’s Films to Be Buried With, Lou Sanders’ Cuddle Club, and Sentimental Garbage with Caroline O’Donoghue, and continues to establish herself as a sharp, distinctive voice in British comedy.
