Biography
Maria Shehata is a multi-award winning, Egyptian-American comedian based in London. She’s appeared on Live at the Apollo, Comedy Central’s The Watch List and Comedy Central Live, and Dave Channel’s Comedy Guide To Life. Maria has supported Jonathan Pie at Duke of York’s Theatre in London’s West End and Bill Burr. She was shortlisted as one of the Five Best New Acts at the Edinburgh Fringe.
Look out for her upcoming Radio 4 stand-up special, Maria Shehata is Wisdomless, airing in 2026.
