Raul Kohli has fast become one of the most captivating acts in UK comedy. Growing up Indian’s in the far north of England (Newcastle Upon Tyne) he’s blessed with a Worldview that upends ethnicity, culture and class. Combining ‘Superb political comedy’ (The Scotsman) with surreal storytelling, Raul Kohli is a recognized name in Comedy.
His debut show was one of BBC Radio 4, The Huffington Post & the Skinny’s top picks of the Edinburgh Fringe 2016, his 2019 show was nominated for best show at the Leicester Comedy Festival, while his most recent was nominated for best show at the Edinburgh Fringe 2024 (Ish awards), made both The Guardian & The Daily Mail’s Top Ten Jokes of the Fringe, and was described by Chortle as ‘one of the most important shows of the fringe’ As well as several radio & TV appearances, Raul released his own comedy podcast about Hinduism on BBC Sounds’ (Comic Sanskrit 2019) rated 5* by The Guardian & is currently the host of BBC Newcastle official NUFC podcast: Just Put It In The Net. Raul is an award-winning comedian (NATYS 2017) and appears regularly at some of the biggest comedy clubs around the World (The Stand Edinburgh, Frog & Bucket Manchester, Comedyhuis Netherlands).
