Biography.
Steven Roberts won runner-up at the Los Angeles-based “U.S. Comedy Contest” 2018, held at the world-famous Ice House Comedy Club. Steven has earned much attention and respect in the Las Vegas comedy scene as the host and producer of the highly regarded, underground, new-material-only show, THE STOOL. He was honored to be the resident host for “The Marsha Warfield Experience”, at The STRAT Casino in Las Vegas, and currently tours and produces Marsha’s one-woman show “Book of Marsha”.
In January 2020, Steven produced the inaugural Laughed Out Queer Comedy Festival, Nevada’s first LGBTQ+ comedy festival, along with fellow producers/comedians Thai Rivera and Jozalyn Sharp. Starting in 2018, he co-hosted the popular podcast, “Video Jokers”, with comedian Kristeen von Hagen, for four years.
A resident of Sin City, Steven has performed at clubs and showrooms throughout the Vegas Strip including Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club, Laugh Factory, L.A. Comedy Club, Las Vegas Live, Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club, and The Improv; and throughout the country including Zanies, The Improv, and Loonees Comedy Corner. He was proud to be the host of The World Series of Comedy 2014, touring the U.S. and Canada.
Originally from the desert southwest, he happily calls Las Vegas home with his husband of eighteen years, Joseph, and their dogs, Hamlet and Egbert, #HamandEg. His hilarious commentary on living in Vegas, being a latent Texan, and the joys of gay fatherhood delight audiences from all walks of life.
