Quotes
‘One to watch’ – Josie Long
‘A star comedic quality, difficult to craft’. – Funny Women
‘Su Mi is a young female British-Malaysian comic… so naturally she reminded me of white
Canadian veteran Phil Nichol. For she shares his assertive, boisterous in-your-face style – even before she whipped out her guitar for a jaunty singalong that flirts with political incorrectness. She’s hugely entertaining force of nature who’d breathe life into any gig.’ – Steve Bennett, Chortle .
‘Su Mi is unashamedly loud, and you can’t help but love her for it. Queerovision and Beat the Frog 2022 winner, Mi transforms multiple times throughout her solo set and truly shows off every string to her bow, but what never faulters is the clarity of her perspective on social prejudice as an Asian woman. Did I mention she’s also a wonderful musician?’ – Broadway world UK
