Jenny Bede first became known for her online parody music videos, which have gained over 4 million YouTube views. She started doing her songs live in 2013 where she won Best Newcomer at the Musical Comedy Awards after just four gigs. She was named Comedy’s One to Watch by the Observer and took her first hour of musical stand up to Edinburgh in 2015. She followed up with her second show, EggTime, two years later.
On the writing side, Jenny has several scripts in development. In 2017 she won the BAFTA Rocliffe New Writing Award with her script, Baby – a project that is now being developed with BBC Studios. Additionally, Jenny has another series in Development with CPL, and, filming has just completed on 3×10’ series which she wrote for Sky Arts.
She has performed her songs on BBC Radio 1, E4 and ITV as well as writing and starring in her own pilot Jenny Bede: AAA with BBC Comedy and written and presented Mad on Chelsea (E4) – the sister show to the BAFTA winning Made in Chelsea.
