Harriet began stand up at the turn of 2011 and it’s been a bit of a whirlwind. That year she won nationwide female comedy competition Funny’s Funny, was named Up The Creek’s One to Watch and has gone on to be a Laughing Horse and Leicester Square New Act Finalist and to win Bath Comedy Festival New Act of the Year and Brighton Comedy Festival New Act of the Year.
Last summer saw Harriet’s Edinburgh debut in Kemsley and Callaghan; Keeping Their Cool at The Newsroom with the wonderful Sarah Callaghan described by Three Weeks as ‘one of the best free comedy shows I’ve ever seen.’
In Edinburgh she also performed in The Comedy Marathon live for BBC3 and was cast in the BBC Writers room Laughter Track Showcase. She left Edinburgh and the following day filmed a new sketch she wrote with Princess Productions directed by MJ Delaney called ‘Puppy Fat’.
2013 started with Harriet supporting the wonderful Katherine Ryan and Doc Brown on their nationwide tours.
